are peeking through

those darkened,

gray puffs of you.

Your afternoon tears

melt them away,

and tell the story

of my yesterdays.

Walks on the sand,

through your painted light.

Soft waves gently nudging me,

carrying me through your moods.

In the strokes

of the clouds you paint,

I see familiar faces

I haven’t seen in a while.

They appear,

they smile,

then float on by

in a moment of yesterday’s light.

Will you paint my tomorrow bright?

Fiery sunset red,

or cloud-free blue instead?

What will you do?
